In true Perspectives Education fashion, we want to go beyond learning about traditional historical icons and discover more about lesser known and unsung heroes who have showed strength of heart and an abundance of courage to make our world a better place. We will dive into the journeys of men and women throughout the world of different ages, ethnicity, stories and accomplishments. We can’t wait to take this adventure with you!

Teacher: Carolyn Ellis

Have you been listening to Moana, Hamilton, or other amazing musicals during quarantine?!!?! If you’re a musical lover, come join us to make your very own zoom-musical. Through improv games, musical exercises, and some good ol’ fashion poetry, students will learn how to write and perform their own songs and dances. Our subject matter will be inspired by “rebels with a cause” (young people both past and present who have fought for something they believe in). We will learn about young activists including the Greensboro Four, Malala Yousafzai, and others as inspiration for our musical numbers. Singing and dancing will all be done within everyone’s ability and comfort level. All are welcome!
